The most current vogue in theme weddings is the Green wedding or Eco-friendly wedding. Global warming, pollution, energy waste, etc has made green weddings a huge rage among today’s couples.In fact, Green wedding is one of the best ways to show how much you care for the environment.

To start, send invitations use recycled paper or else use paper produced from other fibers like bamboo or hemp. Opt for calligraphy for writing on the invitation as the materials required for printing like ink, solvents, chemicals, toners, etc. are saved. Of course the “sophisticated” people will swoon after receiving an electronic invitation, but emails are the best way to be eco-friendly. Also for the venue, choose a location like a museum, gallery or any such cultural organization. These venues will benefit from the rent you give. Or else, opt for a beach or garden location, as they will perfectly suit your Green wedding theme (but make sure you leave the place as you had found it).

A wedding gown made of natural fibers like organic cotton or silk is a better option than going for the synthetic fabric gowns. If you can splurge money, buy a couture gown, as they are generally made from natural fabrics. Another good option is to go for a secondhand gown.

A lot of fuel and energy goes in to create a new gown, so opt for a secondhand gown and also donate your gown for some other bride who decides to have a Green wedding. The wedding decoration can also be done in eco-friendly way by using candles, bamboos and organic flowers. Organic cake and food is another better way to show that you are environment friendly. Although it might be expensive, organic food is free of any pesticides or fertilizers.

A Green wedding will surely make you feel good and your little contribution to the environment can possibly make more couples opt for eco-friendly weddings.
